So........we've been busy.
Since my last post on August 18, 2016, a lot of wonderful, crazy things have happened in our little corner of the world. Needless to say, we had a blast at Disney World, that place is capital M A G I C. I couldn't have imagined a better first trip for either one of us. It felt as though I was seeing everything through her eyes—so very real. She got the royal birthday treatment, and our trip was right in time for Disney's Halloween festivities, which is icing on an already iced cake. Here's some of my favorite snapshots.
A couple of months after our trip, I met my very own prince charming. Our love story is more magical than all the fairy tales combined, but I'll have to tell you all about it in a later post. Two minutes into our very first conversation, we both immediately felt as though we had known each other for a million years. This August, we will be celebrating our one year wedding anniversary. We had a traditional Vietnamese ceremony in the morning, and a traditional American ceremony in the evening (and a third ceremony I'll have to explain later). No surprise to me, he's a thoughtful husband and a wonderful father. He is also a brilliant composer. We've already worked on a few creative projects together, and I am excited to see where our imaginations will take us.
While planning our wedding, we bought our first home. It's a basement rancher built in the 60s. There are a ton of reasons we fell in love with this house, and there are less than a ton of things I am dying to update. It will be awhile before any renovations begin, but we've already made huge progress on making some stellar memories here. Regardless of whether we get to the updates or not, I will love this house forever.
Lucky for us, this house had enough extra space to bring home this little guy. Designerly friends meet Daisy. He is sweet and oh so fluffy. Remember when you were a kid, and you wished your stuffed animals would come to life? Well, this is a lot like that. He greets me everyday with little cuddles and kisses, but also likes his space. He is the best little addition to our home.
All in all, it's been a hectic couple of years, but in the best way possible. I appreciate all the readers that have been checking in on my tiny page during the radio silence. I started this blog to collect all my creative endeavors into one place, and my hope is to slowly ease back into sharing projects again from past and present.
Life is coming at us fast, but long story short, we went to Disney World and brought the magic home with us.
